A Stratford woman who drove her car into a bush on Chrsitmas evening was arrested on a warrant Thursday charging her with drunken driving.

Jessica Wemuth, 33, of Terrill Road, was traveling west on Kings Drive when she drove into the eastbound lane, hit a bush and several long wooden barriers before the car became wedged in another bush at the end of a driveway, police said. When police arrived she was sitting in the driver's seat, with the keys in the ignition and two large lumps on forehead. Police said Wemuth did not even know she'd been in an accident and admitted to having a glass of wine at a house party.

She was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport for treatment following the crash, and police obtained a warrant for her blood-alcohol level.

Wemuth was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right. She was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear March 2 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
