Jennifer Shockey, 45, of Main Street in the Southport section of town, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order following an incident Thursday when she dropped her children off at her soon-to-be ex-husband's home on Smedley Road, police said.
According to the report, Shockey is not supposed to approach the house, but when she dropped off the children, she came up to the door and kicked it, breaking a side window.
When her husband said he planned to call the police, she drove away. Police contacted her at her home and asked her to come to headquarters. Instead, said she would meet officers in front of the Southport fire station, where she was taken into custody.
She was released on a promise to appear last Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
