A 44-year-old Fairfield woman was charged with driving under the influence late Thursday after police investigated a suspicious car parked after-hours in the parking lot of the Sullivan Athletic Field on Old Dam Road.

Kelsa Calabrese, of Oldfield Drive, was in a car that had its lights on and engine running about 11:28 p.m., police said.

She failed field sobriety tests, police said.

Calabrese was released to the custody of a relative, but police were called by the family a short time later reporting that Calabrese had fled from her home, police said. She was found a short distance away and was taken by AMR Ambulance Co. to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation, police said. She wasn't dressed warmly enough to be outside, according to the report.

Bond was set at $100, pending an appearance Jan. 6 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
