Woman hit by car in parking lot, sun glare blamed

FAIRFIELD — A 58-year-old Longview Avenue woman was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with a head laceration and possible concussion after she was struck by a car in the Bed, Bath & Beyond parking lot around 9 a.m. Monday.
According to police, the pedestrian was walking toward her home when she was struck by the car. The driver said she did not see the woman because of sun glare and surveillance video shows the vehicle stopping immediately after striking the woman.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
