The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County will host an informational meeting for prospective members from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Shack Hometown Grill, 2070 Post Road.
The women's group focuses on promoting volunteerism, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable, according to a news release.
Communities represented include Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Newtown, Redding,
Shelton, Southport,
Stratford, Trumbull, Weston and Westport.
