An opening reception at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery in the Fairfield Public Library for the juried show, "Speechless: Works that Explore the Use of Text," on March 15 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The show will be on exhibit in the gallery from March 9 to April 18.

The juror for the show is Fred Giampietro of Fred Giampietro Gallery in New Haven. The theme was selected in conjunction with the library's One Book One Town community reading project -- "A House in the Sky," a hostages account of survival -- and includes works in many media and styles. All works include text and all are for sale.

The main library is at 1080 Old Post Road.
