A workshop for caregivers dealing with the loss of a loved one to Alzheimer's disease or related dementias will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m. by Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County.

In the workshop, "Anticipatory Grief," social worker Amy Bauer will offer participants coping strategies for dealing with the physical and emotional distress of anticipatory grief and caring for a loved one with dementia.

"Caregivers and family members experience a wide range of emotions when a loved one is stricken with dementia," she said. "It is important at this time of impending loss to take steps to steady your life and try to regain a sense of emotional equilibrium."

The workshop will take place at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, Suite 114, 761 Main Ave., Norwalk. Registration is advised. For more information, or to register, call 203-762-8958.
