A journalist and photographer whose new book chronicles the plight of refugees from the war in Syria will speak Sunday at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library.

Diego Cupolo will discuss his book, "Seven Syrians -- War Accounts from Syrian Refugees," in a free program at

2 p.m. at the library,

1147 Fairfield Woods Road.

His book about Syrian refugees, according to the library, focuses on the people affected by that nation's civil war and not the politics.

Copies of Cupolo's book will be on sale at the program, and he will be available to sign them.

Advance registration is required because of limited space.
