6:02 pm, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 -- Thick fog shrouds much of southwestern Connecticut early this morning, a day when unseasonably warm daytime temperatures are expected to give way to heavy rain and strong winds overnight.
Showers are expected after 3 p.m.; odds of afternoon precipitation are 70 percent, the NWS says.
