Ludlowe 55, East Haven 12 (Nov. 8)

Too much White: Ludlowe quarterback Matt White went wild with four touchdowns. He rushed for two in a 7-carry, 137-yard rushing performance; he passed for two in a 7-for-10 effort for 137 yards.

Ball security: The Falcons forced six turnovers, after making as many the week before against McMahon. Ludlowe's offense was marching, failing to be forced to punt, scoring on each possession except for its one turnover and being stopped on fourth down once.

Strong line play: Last week's practices focused on offensive linemen maintaining blocks and driving defenders for the duration of the play. Many holes were opened against East Haven, and they were sustained. Coach Vince Camera noted how the Falcons' defense did a good job recognizing sets and schemes and reacting aggressively to each.

Next game: Stamford (2-7) at Ludlowe (5-4) on Friday at 6 p.m. in an FCIAC Central game.
