LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Bridgeport Bluefish lost for the second straight game, falling 5-1 to the Lancaster Barnstormers Monday night.
Bridgeport is 3-11 against Lancaster this season and trails Southern Maryland by five games in the Liberty Division standings.
Barnstormers starter J.D. Durbin held the Bluefish bats in check, pitching a complete game. He allowed one run and three hits, striking out five.
Brad Boyer hit a solo home run in the third inning to account for the Bridgeport offense.
Willis Otanez also singled, extending his on-base streak to 10 consecutive games.
Paul Oseguera took the loss for the Bluefish, pitching into the seventh inning allowing five runs -- three earned.
