The Fairfield American Little League's 11-year-old baseball team will have two chances to claim its fourth sectional title in five years.

Fairfield, undefeated through the double-elimination Section 1 tournament, can claim the section's championship with a win over Berlin, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Milford.

American is averaging more than 13 runs-per game in three sectional games and has already beaten Berlin once -- 13-3 -- this tournament.

After winning its section opener against Shelton American, American blitzed Berlin then routed Wilton, 16-0, in Saturday's winners' bracket final.

Berlin's 7-6 win over Wilton put it in the sectional tournament. Berlin must beat Fairfield twice to claim the title and a berth in this weekend's best-of-three state championship tournament.

Game 1 of the state finals will be Sunday at 6 p.m. in Newington.
