The Fairfield Giants Pee Wees held off New Fairfield 12-8.
The Hawks entered undefeated and had allowed just one touchdown in those five games. Fairfield's Philip Pasmeg forced a fumble.
The Hawks took over and mounted a 50-yard drive ending with a two- yard blast for the game's first score. The successful PAT put the Falcons up 8-0 at halftime.
Griffin Donohue hit T.J. Walton in stride for a 50-yard touchdown strike. The PAT was blocked and the Giants were down 8-6. But Henry Houghton executed a perfect onside kick, hustling downfield and alertly recovering the ball for the Giants. Two plays later, Finn Duran, behind a tremendous block by Jarret Toth, scampered 20 yards for the go-ahead score.
