The Seventh-Grade Team beat Darien White 20-7.

The Wildcats surrendered a first-quarter touchdown to Darien, but the stingy Wildcats defense led by Chris Nielsen, Joey Turner, Steven Ouellette, Josh Evans and Justin Keith kept Darien out of the end zone the rest of the game.

Clay Zachery recovered a fumble that set up a 34-yard run by Jack Curtis for the Wildcats' first touchdown. The Wildcats took the lead for good when Curtis ran in for the two-point conversion. Timmy Jacobi capitalized on the Fairfield's excellent field position by scoring on a 1-yard run.

Matthew Cerminaro later increased the lead and sealed the victory with a 1-yard run of his own. The Wildcats improved their record to 5-1. Westport North is the Seventh Grade team's next foe, Sunday at 2 p.m. in Westport.

Six straight wins for sixth-graders

The undefeated Sixth Grade Team remained blazing hot, beating Ridgefield 14-8. Fairfield scored on its first two possessions to take early control of the game.

The first-place Wildcats travel to Westport on Saturday at Staples High School at 5 p.m.

Fifth Grade Team falls to Wilton

The Fifth Grade Team lost 20-6 to undefeated Wilton White Sunday.

Conner O'Neill had a 35-yard dash down the sideline for the Wildcats' only score.

Fourth Grade Team conquers New Canaan

The Fourth Grade Team beat New Canaan Red 13-6 Sunday. The Wildcats overcame a six-point halftime deficit thanks to great passing by quarterback Andrew Conklin and hard running from Brendan Howard, Harry Chandler, Jake Fratarcangeli, and Lorenzo Cooper.

Conklin set up the first touchdown with a 20-yard run followed by a touchdown pass to Dylan Igram.

Conklin's run up the middle was the second score.

Third Grade Team defeats Wilton

The Third Grade Team took advantage of a bye week and beat 4-1 Wilton, 18-12.

An impressive 50-yard run by Harrison Keith put the Wildcats up 6-0, then punched in another score making the game 12-0.

Wilton fired back with two scores before closing out the half 12-12, but Keith connected with Andre Mead to bring the score 18-12.
