Progress is the word for the Fairfield co-op boys swimming and diving team.
The team has grown from four members to 42 competitors in nine seasons. On the heels of a season, in which the Falcons broke six team records, the Falcons will look to continue that progression.
"We are looking forward to a strong season," Fairfield coach Victor Mirrer said in an email. "I believe we can break some of those records again and possibly a few others that have been standing for a while," Leading the team will be captains Nikita Noskov and Adrian Tudor. Noskov holds four Fairfield records, including the 200-freestyle relay she and Tudor raced in together with sophomore Tom Gannon.
Gannon will also return for that relay team.
The co-op team will have several underclassmen contributing too. Besides Gannon, sophomores Peter Berens and Zach Nagy will look to compete. Freshmen John Whiteside, Kevin Appelson and Niko Gupta will also be asked to race for Fairfield.
This will be the co-op team's final year, and as Fairfield prepares to split into two teams, Mirrer has assigned Noskov and Tudor as Ludlowe's captains. Perret and Ocana will lead the Warde contingent.
