FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield men’s soccer team visit the University of New Hampshire on Thursday in a NCAA tournament first-round game in Durham, N.H. Game time is 7 p.m. The winner advances to play Dartmouth on Sunday.

The teams have not played since a 1-0 New Hamphire victory in the 2014 Mayor’s Cup in Oneonta, N.Y.

Fairfield (12-4-3) advanced to the 48-team NCAA tournament by winning the MAAC tournament title with a 1-0 victory over Rider on Sunday. This is the Stags’ fifth NCAA appearance (1998, 2006, 2008, 2011). They beat UConn 2-1 in the first round in 2006.

New Hampshire (12-3-4) lost in the American East semifinals to UMass Lowell.
