Fairfield resident Dave Swanson sank a hole in one at Westport's Longshore Country Club on Monday during the Staples Gridiron Club/Sal Romano eighth annual fundraiser. Swanson won a trip for two to Pebble Beach and Cypress Point in California for firing an ace on the second hole.

Swanson, who works in Westport, used a seven-iron on the second hole, which measures 155 yards from tee to green. The pin was located in the back of the green.

The tournament was a scramble format. Swanson competed as part of a foursome with Joe Massoud, Tim Chiodo and Alan Offenberg.
