Falcons dance team has the right steps

  • PRIZE-WINNING DANCE TEAM Members of the Fairfield Ludlowe High School dance team had reason to smile on Saturday, Feb. 1, after they took a pair of prizes in a fundraising competition at Torrington High School. Ludlowe topped 13 other dance squads to capture first plaze in the jazz category at the Compete for a Cure Dance Competition, which benefitted the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The team also took a second-place prize in the pom category, one of its coaches said. The Fairfield Ludlowe High School dance team captured a pair of prizes at a fundraising competition on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Torrington High School.

The squad, which performs at Falcons sporting events, captured first place in the jazz category and second in the pom category at the Compete for a Cure Dance Competition.

Fourteen high school dance teams participated in the event, which raised money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Ludlowe assistant coach Pamela Dale said.
