Greenwich Kids event
Registration is open for the 10th annual Greenwich Kids Triathlon that will be held at Greenwich High School June 10. It is open to children ages 6-16.
There will be a competitors orientation at 7:30 a.m. and the triathlon will start at 8 a.m. Competitors must have swim caps and bicycle helmets.
The field will be capped at 256 entries and there is no race day registration, rain date or refunds.

Mazzilli UConn standout
LJ Mazzilli (Greenwich/Iona Prep) is hitting .329 with 54 hits including 13 doubles and nine home runs with UConn (23-18).
Charlie Payton (Greenwich/Lawrenceville) is 4-7 in face-offs and has two ground balls with 7th ranked Duke which won the ACC title with victory against North Carolina. Jimmy Dunster (Greenwich) has nine goals and three assists with the 9th-ranked North Carolina.
Midfielder David Goldstein (Greenwich) has seen action with the Hamilton men's lacrosse team (9-5).
Monica Yajima (Greenwich) is 14-2 in singles action and 9-7 in doubles with the Fairfield women's tennis team.
Eric Kremheller (Greenwich) is 8-1 in singles and 10-2 in doubles with the Fairfield men's tennis team.
Jacqui Corba (Greenwich) won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles as George Washington beat La Salle and won in doubles in a loss to Richmond in the Atlantic 10 tournament. She is 10-6 in singles and 12-3 in doubles playing a majority of her matches at No. 1.
John Brosens (Brunswick) has a 3-1 record in singles and is 3-3 in doubles with the Georgetown men's tennis team.
Schuyler Stitzer (Brunswick) of Bucknell shot 155 and Thomas Agrest (Greenwich) of Penn came in with 165 in the Navy Spring Invitational.
Senior defender Tyler Chapman (Greenwich Academy) has 13 ground balls in 15 starts with the Williams women's lacrosse team (6-9) while Mahaney Supple (Convent of Sacred Heart) and Amanda Weber (Convent of Sacred Heart) have also seen action.
Greenwich Cup series continues
The second event of the Volvo of Stamford Greenwich Cup series of 10 events, the Volvo of Stamford Greenwich Cup Biathlon, will start at 7 a.m. on May 6 at Tod's Point.
The biathlon begins with a 2.5-mile run, followed by a 10-mile bicycle ride and another 2.5 mile run.
The entry fees are $45 pre-entry and $55 on the day of the race.
The other eight events in the series are the Jim Fixx Memorial Day Run at 8:15 a.m. on May 28, the Whole Foods Cook Your Buns Run & BBQ at 6:30 p.m. on June 8, the Greenwich Point Swim at 7:30 a.m. on July 14, the Volvo of Stamford Greenwich Cup Triathlon at 6:30 a.m. on July 29, the Volvo of Stamford Tour de Greenwich XXVIII at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 16, Susannah's Run at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14, the Beachfront Bushwhack/Max's Mile at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11, and the Jingle Bell Jog at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9.
Kristine Lilly to speak
Wilton native and U.S. women's soccer team legend Kristine Lilly will be the featured speaker at the Fairfield County Sports Commission's fifth annual Celebrity Breakfast on Thursday May 3 at the Continental Manor in Norwalk at 7:30 a.m.
Lilly, who has been on the Commission's advisory board since the organization's inception, retired from playing in 2011 after a storied 24-year career with the national team. She is a two-time World Cup champion and twice won Olympic gold medals.
ESPN's Sara Walsh will serve as the emcee at the event.
The breakfast is a fundraiser for the Commission and its Chelsea Cohen Fitness Academy. It is a "tip your waiter" format where attendees are asked to make a suggested donation amount.
