The Fairfield Ludlowe boys soccer team is starting to reach its potential.
Senior Arda Kocturk scored twice as the Falcons routed St. Joseph, 4-0 on Wednesday at Taft Field.
"It was a good night for us," Ludlowe coach Kevin O'Hara said. "We're happy with the result."
Juniors Eric Winjum and Artur Piatrevich both scored as the Falcons won for the third time in their last four games. Ludlowe outshot St. Joseph 19-4.
The Falcons led just 1-0 at halftime, but was able to pot three in the second half. O'Hara was pleased by the Falcons' ability to finish.
"That's something we've been working on," O'Hara said. "Second half, we started putting pressure on the goalie and getting some results."
St. Joseph had a goal disallowed due to a handball.
