Norwalk (2-5)

at Ludlowe (3-5),

Thursday, 6 p.m.,

Taft Field

The Bears and Falcons both enter this week's game coming off wins. Norwalk's was a 20-0 win over Harding; Ludlowe's was a 34-8 rout of Danbury.

The Falcons' run is one of the state's best football stories. Ludlowe's won two straight since it was announced the head coach Matt McCloskey would not return next year, including Friday's romp over Danbury. Ludlowe is running effectively and finally seems healthy.

Norwalk's offense has not scored more than 20 points this year -- a streak that I don't expect the Bears to break Thursday. Ludlowe's strength is its defense.

I think the Falcons win their third straight -- big, too. Pick: Ludlowe 27, Norwalk 7.
