Fairfield Ludlowe lifted its winning streak in girls soccer to six games on Tuesday afternoon by defeating Bridgeport Central 6-0 at Taft Field in Fairfield.

The Falcons, who got three goals from Lindsay Zilling, improved to 6-4-0 overall and in the FCIAC. Bridgeport Central's overall and conference records dropped to 0-11-0. Megan O'Hare stopped one shot by the Hilltoppers to record the shutout for Ludlowe.

Zilling's goals were in succession after Ludlowe had built a 2-0 lead in the first five minues of the match on goals by Rebecca Girouard and Alex Wykoff. Casey Bradley headed home the Falcons' sixth goal on a header in the final 5 minutes of play. Recording assists for Ludlowe were Krissy Bradley, Sydney McArthur, Tara McNamara and Miranda Rosenfeld.

Angelee Small made seven saves for Bridgeport Central.

Ludlowe coach Kate Dawson used her reserve players extensively after taking the early lead.
