UConn defeated No. 17
Notre Dame 65-58 on Saturday at South Bend, Ind., which snapped the Irish's 17-game home winning streak. It was the third recent Notre Dame home streak-buster for the Huskies:
JAN. 24, 2009: No. 3 UConn 69, No. 19 Notre Dame 61 -- The Huskies snapped a 45-game home winning streak by the Irish behind Jeff Adrian's 12 points and 19 rebounds and Jerome Dyson's 15 points. Notre Dame had won 20 straight Big East games at Purcell Pavilion before the loss.
JAN. 14, 2012: No. 17 UConn 67, Notre Dame 53 -- The Irish led by a point at halftime, but UConn went on an 18-8 run in the first 10 minutes of the second half to snap ND's 29-game home winning streak. Shabazz Napier scored 16 points and Andre Drummond had 10 points and 13 rebounds for UConn.
