Ice cream maker rolls into Danbury Fair
Rolling Cow opened its first Connecticut ice cream stand at Danbury Fair mall, featuring a technique in which fresh custard is poured onto a frozen surface, with preparers then spading in ingredients before rolling the treat into a spiral.
Flavors range from the familiar like cookies and cream and s’mores, to the exotic like red bean and black sesame with dragon fruit.
Other rolled ice cream venues in southwestern Connecticut include Ice and Fire at the Connecticut Post mall in Milford, and Freezing Moo at 1700 Post Road in Fairfield.
At Danbury Fair, Rolling Cow is located adjacent to the second-level food court and is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. For information, visit www.therollingcow.com.
The Haagen-Dazs ice cream shop at Danbury Fair is currently closed with signage promising it will reopen at an unspecified future date.
