Miya’s Sushi, New Haven: Best sushi
Miya’s chef Bun Lai has been redefining sushi in particular and dining in general since joining the restaurant started by his mother in the 1980s. Simply put, Miya’s is a place to expect the unexpected. Dedicated to using sustainable, local and organic foods whenever and wherever possible, Lai has created a menu of culinary wonders, from nine-spice invasive Asian carp sashimi to his signature sakes. Miya’s is closing at the end of 2020, though, so don’t wait to make your visit(s).
