Artist Dave Pressler will present art lecture "In-Sights" at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Memorial Room of the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The presentation will explore a wide range of visual experiences, focusing on the need to develop awareness through "learning" or "training" one's self to look consciously as one moves through life.

Pressler holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial design from Rhode Island School of Design, and a graduate study in marketing. He has studied at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and Silvermine Guild Arts Center, New Canaan, where he is currently a Guild member and former trustee.

He is a managing partner of Blackburn Pressler Associates and has over 30 years experience in design and marketing communications. He is the recipient of numerous design awards and is named on several patents for proprietary design contributions to such companies as Kodak, BASF, Warner-Lambert and Hasbro. He is also a founding member of the Art & Curatorial Committees of the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library's Bruce S. Kershner Gallery.
