Deaks celebrate 50 years together
Kathleen and Albert Deak Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 29.
They were married at St. Ann's Church in Bridgeport and moved to Fairfield shortly after. Albert is a retired tool and die maker and was employed by Avco Lycoming and Bic Pen. Kathleen has been employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Dennis Bird, D.D.S. of Bridgeport for more than 30 years.
They are the parents of Carolyn (Stephen) Dugas, of Florida; Albert Deak, of Rhode Island; Suzanne (Alan) Wilson, of British Columbia, Canada; Corinne (Scott) Hodes, of Shelton; Allison (Robert) Roda, of Pennsylvania; and Jeffrey (Aileen) Deak, of Stratford. They also are the grandparents of 14: Tyler and Cory Dugas; Mackenzie and Maxwell Deak; Conor, Lucas and Mitchell Wilson; Katelyn Hodes; Nicholas, Alec and Matthew Roda; and Foster, Ryan and Mason Deak.
They celebrated their anniversary in early summer with a Mediterranean cruise.
