The annual meeting of the Fairfield Beach Residents Association will take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 1 in the Fairfield Public Library's Rotary Room.

The neighborhood group will elect the Board of Directors and officers for 2010-2011 year, as well as discuss priorities for the coming year. Association members and interested beach area residents are invited to attend.

Guest speakers will be Police Chief Gary McNamara, who address relations between year-round neighborhood residents and student renters, and association member Andrew Schulz, who will explain the results and recommendations from the group's recent traffic study.

Founded in 1955, the Fairfield Beach Residents Association includes homeowners from the Old Post Road south to Fairfield Beach Road, and Reef Road east to Beach Road. Its goals are to represent neighborhood interests and to maintain and improve Fairfield Beach and vicinity; to promote cooperation among beach area homeowners and renters, and to represent the members' common interests to town officials.
