"Investigation, Imagination," the sculpture of Roe Halper and the paintings of Duvian Montoya and Ruth Newquist, will be on display in the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, from Jan. 9 to Feb. 27.

The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours. A reception and a talk with the artists will take place Saturday, Jan. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. A Walk and Talk will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3.

Halper has been a professional fine artist for 50 years, working in pen and ink, acrylic painting, collage, clay and low relief woodcarving.

Newquist paints in both oil and watercolor out of her studio in Newtown and exhibits her paintings throughout New England and New York. Duvian developed his own language of color and brush stroke that dominates his work today.
