The Fairfield Public Library will host music ensemble, The Lion's Gate Trio, as part of its Soundwaves Concert series April 17 at 3 p.m. in the Memorial Room of Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The trio will feature works of Beethoven, Brahms and award-winning contemporary French composer, Nicholas Bacri. They have performed in Germany, France, Belgium, Finland and most of the eastern United States and served residencies at Tanglewood, Yale University and the University of Pittsburgh. They are currently the trio-in-residence in Connecticut both at the Hartt School at the University of Hartford and at the Fairfield Public Library.
