#ThrowbackThursday: Hopping alongside the 'not-so-cuddly' Easter Bunny
#ThrowbackThursday is part of an ongoing series highlighting the culture of Connecticut throughout the past few decades.
We've all been there.
You're with your kids in the mall around Easter time, and what catches their eyes other is none other the furry wonder known as the Easter Bunny. Sure he isn't Santa, but you can't let down another photo opportunity that might make it onto the mantle above the fireplace.
You wait for what seems to be an eternity, though, what keeps you laughing is seeing the sheer number of kids screaming in utter fear over the soft and cuddly Easter Bunny.
While some of this blood-curdling screaming may not quite be justified, it has been known that mall Easter Bunnies aren't necessarily as approachable in looks compared to jolly old Saint Nick.
Don't believe me? Take a look a pictures of the Easter Bunny from the mid-20th century, and tell me they don't look like some demonic creature created to scare children rather than give them candy.
We've combed our archives for some of the most ghoulish-looking Easter Bunnies that are sure to put you into the Easter season.
