Storage units outside Greater Bridgeport Christian Fellowship Church, which contained donations for a local Toys for Tots program. The units were reportedly broken into over the weekend and thousands of dollars worth of toys were taken.
BRIDGEPORT — City police are looking for a man named Infinite Seven, who the department said is a person of interest in the Toys for Tots theft on Saturday.
“He is a person of interest in the theft of toys on Dec. 1, 2018, from Toys for Tots,” said Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. He said Infinite Seven is the man’s legal name.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-576-8477.
The robbery left the Greater Bridgeport Christian Fellowship Church without roughly $80,000 worth of toys that are expected to be distributed to families in need on Dec. 15.
Jerry Martinez, co-director of Toys for Tots in Bridgeport, told Hearst Connecticut Media on Monday that someone broke into a series of storage containers in the parking lot of the church and took the toys.
With this hit to the inventory, the organization is asking for additional donations from the public to help them serve the 1,500 families in the area.
