UPDATE: 12:21 PM

Metro-North: “New Haven Line service is now operating on or close to schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this incident.”

Metro-North: New Haven Line service is experiencing delays up to 60 minutes due to single tracking resulting from a track condition requiring attention between Stamford and South Norwalk.

Metro-North says customers should anticipate 10- to 15-minute delays due to track work Wednesday on the New Haven Line.

The work is being done between Stamford and South Norwalk.

Delays are also possible due to continued work on damaged infrastructure after Tropical Storm Isaias.

On the Waterbury branch lines, substitute buses will operate between Waterbury and Bridgeport for all trains, which are on a weekday schedule.

“We are working to clear many trees and repair extensive power and signal outages as well as overhead wires to restore service as soon as possible,” the railroad said Wednesday morning.
