SEYMOUR — Police are hoping to identify a man caught on tape Sunday breaking into a resident’s shed.

In a Facebook post originally shared Sunday morning, Jason Gossett released surveillance footage captured between 5:10 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. which showed the suspect breaking into the shed, located on South Main Street.

The man can be seen taking multiple objects from the shed and carrying them to an off-camera location.

Among the items stolen — mostly tools — was Gossett’s daughter’s dirt bike, a blue Yamaha PW-80, he wrote on Facebook.

Anyone with information about the identity of the individual is asked to contact the Seymour Police Department Detective Bureau by phoning 203-881-7638 or 203-881-7624.
