Some CT parks close after parking lots hit capacity
With sunny Saturday skies, several Connecticut state parks closed to new visitors as the parking lots reached capacity by the afternoon.
At 1:40 p.m., Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden was the latest announced park to close, according to a tweet from the state parks’ Twitter account. Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury, Penwood State Park in Bloomfield and Kent Falls State Park in Kent all closed earlier in the day, officials wrote.
Crowds flocked to the parks to enjoy the warm autumn day and the beautiful fall colors.
