BRIDGEPORT — Repairs are underway for a water main break on the city’s North End late Tuesday afternoon, city officials said.

The city’s Emergency Operation Center announced the break shortly before 5 p.m. Officials said it’s in the area of Woodside Avenue and Fleet Street.

Aquarion crews are on scene fixing the problem. Officials said the repairs could take between four and six hours.

The city released a brief statement for residents in the affected area, letting them know that they might see some discolored water during and after the repairs.

“You may want to use stored water for drinking and cooking, and delay clothes washing until water is clear,” a tweet from the city of Bridgeport said.
