Approximately $12,500 worth of possessions was stolen from an Old Post Road home shortly before noon Tuesday, including a Breitling watch, an iMac laptop, luggage and jewelry, according to police.

Entry was made by forcing open a rear window. Shortly before the incident, a man had knocked on the door of a neighbor's house asking if any handiwork was needed. The woman declined. Some time earlier, the same neighbor, while walking her dog, spotted the man's vehicle parked in the driveway of the home that was burglarized.

The vehicle was a dark-colored Honda or Acura, police said.
