The Sebastian Chamber Players will perform in a concert of 18th century selections on Friday evening, Oct. 19, at the Pequot Library in the Southport section of Fairfield.

The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the library, 720 Pequot Ave.

The ensemble will play instruments similar to those used when the works of Haydn, Mozart and Bach were first being performed, the Pequot Library said in a news release.

The concert will feature Mozart's clarinet concerto, plus four other selections.

The ensemble will include flutes, oboes, bassoons, and natural horns plus strings and harpsichord.

The program also includes Arne's Symphony No. 1 in C major; Haydn's Symphony in D minor P 30; Bach's Symphony in E minor Wq 178; and Mozart's Symphony No. 25 in G minor, K 183.

The Sebastian Chamber Players perform in historically inspired styles on period instruments.

The group comprises musicians who have studied at the Historical Performance Program at the Juilliard School and as post-graduate fellows in early music at Yale University.
