2 hurt in separate Bridgeport stabbings

BRIDGEPORT — Two individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries in separate stabbing incidents in the city overnight, according to officials.

The first incident happened Wednesday night. A 911 caller reported being cut by a box cutter by a known person around 9:30 p.m., said Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management.

Police responded to the 1900 block of Seaview Avenue and found the victim with a non-life-threatening injury, offiicals said.

Hours later, around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, police were alerted to a stabbing victim who was dropped off at Bridgeport Hospital by private vehicle.

Police responded to the hospital and met with the male victim, who Appleby said suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to the shoulder/chest area. Appleby said the victim was uncooperative with police.
