2 vehicle break-ins outside Fairfield restaurant
Two cars parked behind the Bear and Grill restaurant, 2000 Black Rock Turnpike, were broken into Friday night.
According to police, a window on the Ford Escape was smashed and a Michael Kors purse, valued at $300, was stolen along with debit cards, a Vera Bradley shoulder bag and a Blackberry cell phone valued at $50.
The window will cost an estimated $300 to repair.
A car also was broken into after a door handle and the door were damaged.
Taken from underneath the driver's seat was an HP laptop valued at $1,000, police said.
