A barn on Redding Road was broken into and more than $2,000 worth of items taken, police were told this week.

The break-in happened sometime between Friday and Monday, and was reported to police Monday afternoon. Entry was made through an unlocked window and the property owner found the barn's sliding door open, though it previously had been loced.

Reported taken were two air-conditioning units, worth a total of $600; $500 worth of kitchen cabinets; a generator valued at $400; a power washer, $500; a push-style leaf blower worth $400, and a $300 sink and faucet.

Contractors have been working at the property, according to the report.
