Police said two men used $800 in counterfeit money to buy prepaid credit cards at CVS, 1968 Black Rock Turnpike, on Monday.
According to the report, CVS was notified of the fake $100 bills by the bank on Tuesday after making a deposit of receipts.
Two men had come into the pharmacy separately Monday and each bought a Green Dot card for $400 each using the phony money. The case is under investigation and the department is reviewing video from the store's surveillance camera to help with the investigation.
