A golden afternoon: Carving out Halloween fun at St. Paul's
A sea of autumn gold washed over the grounds of St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Sunday afternoon, as the congregation hosted it annual pumpkin-carving event.
Those attending picked out a likely jack o' lantern, and then could execute the design themselves or turn the orb over to one of the experts on hand for the holiday transformation.
Doughnuts, cider and face painting added to the occasion's festive feel of fall. The event was co-sponsored by the Old Post Road Association.
Funds raised benefited the church's youth activities.
