To help the Fairfield Public Library continue serving the community in "style," local designer Jennifer Butler brought a touch of glitz to the library Thursday night with a benefit preview of her spring fashion collection.

The show, originally set for March 5, was rescheduled because of a snowstorm, and even though more snow threatened to fall as spring began the next day, the crowd enthusiastically greeted Butler's fresh look at fashions or warmer weather.

Attendees also browsed the current artwork on display the in the library's Kershner Gallery, "In Their Worlds," featuring the work of Tina Sommers, Debra Schaffer and Rahul Mehra.

They also perused jewelry by Jennifer Brown and books from fashion illustration artist Jennifer Lilya.

Among the local models were members of the library staff, local children, as well as moms and dads.

Runway models included

Ticket sales from the annual event will help fund Fairfield Public Library programs.
