Agnes G. Galgano of Norwalk, wife of the late George E. Galgano, died Feb. 27, 2010, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield.

Born in Hankinson, N.D., the daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Wolfe) Roth, she had worked at the Roton Middle School for more than 30 years. An active member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Church, Galgano loved gardening and caring for her family.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Galgano and his wife, Lynn of Stamford; two daughters, Barbara Dusenbery and her husband, Roger of Fairfield, and Jane G. Landry and her husband, Mark of Fairfield; nine grandchildren, Kathleen, Alison, Sarah, Meghan, Michael, Christine, Gregory Jr., Christopher and Matthew; a great-granddaughter, Gabriella; a daughter-in-law, Louise Galgano; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Gregory Galgano; a brother, Father Marion Roth; and three sisters; Isabel Endres, Irene Roth and Evangeline Mangold.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 5, at St. Joseph Church in South Norwalk; burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
