Anne (Cremona) Kennedy of Fairfield, wife of Thomas Kennedy, died Feb. 12, 2010, in Evergreen, Colo., with her daughter, Sarah, and family by her side.

Born Nov. 19, 1921, in Fairfield to the late Angela and Virgino Cremona, she was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and St. Vincent's School of Nursing, class of 1943.

Kennedy was head nurse of the delivery room at St. Vincent's Medical Center and then spent many years working for Dr. Terry and Dr. Inder. She also worked in the infirmary of Fairfield University until her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela and her husband, Andy Toner of Fairfield, and Sarah and her husband, Frank Kassay of Evergreen, Colo. She was also the cherished "grammy" to Brian and Ellen Kassay and Jim and Paul Toner.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Leslie Poinelli, Sam Poinelli and Joe Cremona, and a sister, Mary Berry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church at a date to be announced this summer. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Pius X Parish, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield, CT 06824.
