St. Catherine Academy will host its annual scholarship dinner, "The Circle of Life," on Sunday, June 10, at Fairfield University, 1073 N. Benson Road. The event will begin with cocktails at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30.

This year's honorees are Fairfield residents Christine Herman, Virginia McClinch and Nancy Matthews in recognition of their commitment to the academy's mission, according to a news release.

Herman has served on the School Advisory Board for 12 years

and has chaired the annual event for as many years.

McClinch ties her involvement with her commitment to her granddaughter, who attends the academy.

While the Diocese

of Bridgeport's chancellor, Matthews was a regular visitor to the academy, the release states.

The academy is a private, state-approved, special education facility operated by the Diocese of Bridgeport offering an education program to students 5 to 21 years

old with intellectual

disabilities and

other developmental disorders.

Proceeds from the dinner will provide financial support for scholarships to the academy.

Tickets are $200, $2,000 for a sponsor table of 10 seats.

Opportunities for table sponsorship as well as individual tickets are available. For information, contact Helen Burland at 203-540-5381, ext. 2010, or hburland@diobpt.org.
