Airbags swiped from local cars
FAIRFIELD — Airbags were stolen from two cars in separate incidents reported to police last weekend.
A Stop & Shop employee called police Saturday to report his car had been broken into while it was parked in the store’s Kings Highway Cutoff lot. He said the keyhole cover on the door handle was pried off and the airbag taken from the steering column in his 2014 Honda Accord.
On Sunday, a man who had parked his 2015 Ford Explorer at the downtown train station lot, said he returned to his car Sunday afternoon to find the keyhole cover pried off and the airbag missing from the steering column.
