FAIRFIELD — A call about someone banging on a door at the Hi Ho Motel on Oct. 27 led to the arrest of Scarsdale, N.Y., resident Kristin Gorham.

Gorham was charged with third-degree assault after she allegedly hit her husband in the face during a verbal argument. When police arrived in the early morning, they found the victim outside a first-floor room with a contusion on his forehead, a bruise on his face and blood on his shirt. He allegedly told police the blood was from a cut on his elbow, sustained in a fall.

Neither the victim nor Gorham would provide police with details about the argument. Gorham allegedly said she hit her husband in the head several times, and that he hit her once and threw her phone.

Gorham was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on Oct. 29.; 203-842-2582
