BJ's Club workers charged with coupon-scam theft
Two former employees of BJ's Wholesale Club have been charged with stealing more than $1,000 from the business through a coupon scam.
Melissa A. Conlogue, 25, of Light Street, Stratford, was charged with fourth-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, and co-worker, Lynnann Taylor, 24, of Poplar Street, Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
The pair would make copies of customer receipts and then issue a $10 refund, according to the report. Conlogue pocketed $930 and Taylor kept $180, police said.
Both women were arrested on warrants last Wednesday and released on promises to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court.
